Introduction to Micro Credentials

Micro-credentials have the potential to align education more closely to jobs and to build collaboration between industry and educators to ensure programmes are responsive to the needs of both learners and employers.

During this webinar our experts discuss the benefits and challenges of implementing micro-credentials and practical ways for education institutions to leverage these credentials to improve graduate employability outcomes.

SPEAKERS:

• Dr. Zoë MacLeod is the Associate Vice-President, Professional & Continuing Studies at Royal Roads University in Victoria, Canada. Zoë is a certified executive coach, change agent and educational advisor working in the fields of leadership, executive coaching, and professional and organizational development. She has been leading the development of micro-credentials at Royal Roads University for the past six years to serve students, clients, and organizations in their pursuit of professional development and lifelong learning.
• Barbara Dale-Jones is a Director at the Field Institute, Thunderbay Collective, and the Field Lab. Based in South Africa, Barbara is extensively experienced in and passionate about the field of education and is also a knowledge management practitioner who has consulted widely in the field of learning organization design. She is passionate about transforming systems and organisations to address the challenges of the emerging future and works globally with executives and teams in pursuit of transformative change for them and their organisations.
